Indian edtech is decided by infrastructure rather than pedagogy. The student is on a mid-range Android with limited storage and a connection that varies through the day, and a product that assumes otherwise is a product that gets uninstalled. Adaptive video, offline download and a small install size are not optimisations here — they are the product working at all.

The second reality is that completion rates are low across the industry, and the systems that renew are the ones where progress is visible to whoever is paying. For school-age products that is the parent, which makes a weekly summary a commercial feature rather than a nice addition.

Offline is the requirement

Downloaded lectures with expiry are how the product works on a real connection. Streaming-only is a metro assumption.

Tests must mirror the exam

Same pattern, timing, negative marking and palette. A practice test that feels different from the real thing has little value.

The buyer and the user are different people. Renewal follows visible evidence that it is working.

Automated first-line answers reduce teacher load, but only where the answer is grounded in the course material and a human backs it up.
